Three days till my vacation! God, I really need it with all this working extra shifts during previous two weeks.
Having not much spare money I thought I'd have to spend my vacation at home, but thankfully we'll have a little family trip. We are going to my father's aunt birthday. And on the way to her town (which is 310 miles away from us) we'll visit another town (where I would be able to visit several writers' museums) and the country estate of one of my most favourite Russian writers. And of course sightseeing in Svetlana's hometown. It is my favourite kind of vacation - seeing new places and going to museums :)

In the meantime today is the day of the premier of the last Harry Potter movie in our country. I will go to see it tomorrow with 1100 fellow fans from our HP fandom. I can't believe it will be our last premier together. Watching movies together, hundreds of people every time, was one of the best things in the fandom for me.

I've finally moved to our house in the country. I'm just not physically capable of living in the city (and in my case it is the very center of the city) in summer. Fresh air and less heat definitely make up for having to wake up 1,5 hours earlier than usual. In fact, it's not a big deal - it means that I have to wake up at 7:30 a.m. instead of 9 a.m. (yep, the perks of working near home *gg*)

So here it is - my home for the next 3-4 months:

My best friend is now happily married emboding my dream of finaly having somebody to trust her to :-) I really like her husband and the feelings are mutual.

Speaking about my love life we had a serious talk with Stan (although it was more him talking and me being in a bit of a stupor after all the champagne I'd drunk during the wedding) about our relationship. We decided to stick with friends without benefits *gg* Gosh, it's such a relief! I was going a bit crazy thinking about ways to end our relationship somehow or direct it towards just simple friendship. Turns out Stan was on the same path )) In fact it's a natural progression of things - we were always more friends than anything other. And now I even like Stan way better ))))
By the way his sister is finishing high school, so he's gone to his hometown which once again leaves me with his tutoring and the flowers I've planted at his apartment which need watering. Yeah, I'm great at being friends ;-) (I've always known that I'm way better at friendship than at any other kind of relationships) Stan was right saying "It's difficult to be anything other than friends with you, because for you friends are always coming first"

I'm going through a series of catching up with my friends :) This week-end it was a meeting with my old pen friend. We've been in correspondence since our first year of middle school. After leaving school we lost touch for several years although we were studying in the same University. We met two or three times in the University but never managed to re-establish our relationship. And now we are trying once again :) We spent all day sitting in her kitchen and talking-talking-talking... Till her fiance came home and told us it was almost midnight ))

Stan is on assignment in Spain and before it he went to his hometown for his sister's birthday, so he's been away since the first days of April. It means I have to tutor Spanish instead of him and, damn, he tutorizes almost every day! The woman who has her lessons early morning on Tuesdays is almost killing me. I'm not a morning person by any means and can hardly walk or breath at 8 a.m. let alone teach anybody Spanish. Stan is coming back on Wednesday and I'm counting not days but hours *gg*

Catching up with two of my best school friends (we've been friends for... oh my God, for almost 18 years!) really helps to get rid of my usual spring depression (yep, usually people have depressions in autumn and adore spring, but with me it all goes other way round). Tomorrow (*looks at the watch* actually today *gg*) we are having dinner together in some Korean restaurant (one of my friends had his minor in Korean language and spent a year in South Korea - it explains his choice of the place )) )

I lost 15 pounds (almost 7 kilograms) in 95 days - I'm really proud of myself. It really helped a lot that after finally solving my knee problems I was given go-ahead to work out without grand limitations (jogging and jumping is restricted for me, but I hadn't done it for a long time before treatment for other heath issues - so not like I'll be missing them much). Watching me working out Stan says he understands why I love Norwegian cross-country skiers so much - I may be one of them as well )))

After almost eight months of reading I've finally finished Twilight. And having to spend three hours a day in the hospital for a month really helped. The breaks between treatment sessions were the only way to cope with this book. When I finished it the first thing I told Mom was "I can write such a book right now. Even in English!" (English is not my native language)
Years in the University trained me to reading from the beginning to the end every book and every series, so here I am reading other books from this saga. If Twilight is awful, New Moon is a tiny bit better. Now I'm reading Eclipse and it is turning to be in two tiny steps from awful )))

And I'm rewatching House M.D. again )) Although this time it's not every episode of every season but only those which I almost don't remember and my favourite ones. I'm already on season 3 :)

2,5 hours spent in the arthrology clinic were worth it - according to all check-ups I still don't need a knee surgery.
