That's a great funeral song. I never thought of the idea of something optimistic. Hunh...

After my great granma passed away I took mom to funeral parlour to choose a gravestone. Among different options of engraving they suggested a rose with a lowered bud to symbolise our grief and sorrow. But Mom said Grandma would never want us to grief and to assosiate her with something sad because she was always optimistic and live. So we chose a rose with a bud looking up to symbolise that despite our sorrow live is going on.
Back then I got this idea about not only grief but also something optimistic to be assosiated with death and funeral to make it easier to bear it all.
